Fats are always something that we intend to keep away from, however, it’s not always healthy to do so. While unsaturated fats are bad for you, there are many ‘healthy fats’ that you should provide to your body in order to keep it functioning properly. Luckily, there are lots of sources of healthy fats, 5 of which can be found below:

Olives

Apart from being popular in its oil variant, olives are a pretty amazing source of healthy fats too. A cup of black olives has 15 grams of these fats, along with plenty of other nutrients, many of which have been shown to prevent cancer!  

Walnuts

Many studies have found out that omega-3 fatty acids, can reduce the total amount of bad cholesterol or LDL in your body. So, when we say that one cup of walnuts has as many as 9 grams of omega-3 fatty acids, it’s a feat in itself as such a high concentration of these fats can only be otherwise found in seafood.

Salmon

If you find seafood more suited to your palate, then salmon should be a good source of having your daily dose of healthy fats, especially omega-3. With a 100g serving providing as much as 13 grams of these fats, it’s recommended to have salmon at least once a week. Please note that the amount of fats in salmon varies from one variety to another.

Eggs

The most inexpensive and easy way to get healthy fats is to have eggs. Apart from their versatility and amazing taste, you also get copious amounts of fats from eggs. One whole egg consists of 5 grams of fat, which might not look like much but is still better than that cup of cereal that practically has no healthy fats.
