Making homemade scented dryer sheets is not only fast and easy, but it’s also cost-effective and great for the environment! You only need a few different items to get started and you can change up your scent as often as you wish!
Supplies Needed:
2 Reusable Cloths
½ Cup Vinegar
10-20 Drops of Essential Oil
Jar with Lid
Scissors
Homemade Scented Dryer Sheets Directions:
Use your scissors and cut each cloth into 8 equal squares. Get creative and recycle materials from home like old t-shirts, sheets, etc…
Fold the squares in half and stack them on top of each other.
Make two separate piles of eight squares.
Place one stack of cloths in one side of the jar and the other stack in the other side of the jar.
Pour your vinegar into the middle of the jar.
Next, add your favorite essential oil on top of the vinegar
(I used cedar wood but you can use your favorite scent – lavender is always a favorite too!)
Put the lid on the jar and then shake it around to help the liquid soak into the cloths.
The goal is for the liquid to just make the cloths damp, you don’t want them supersaturated.
If you do end up with excess liquid, no worries, simply wring out your cloth into jar before throwing it in the dryer!
Throw 1-2 in the dryer as needed (remember to wring out excess fluid so the cloth is just damp).
Keep sealed at all times. Simply repeat this process when you run out.
