This is one of my favorite crock pot recipes! It makes a wonderful tasting french dip juice and the meat just falls apart. No need for a knife with this roast! All you need is a fork, or your fingers. :o) Not that I would ever eat this with my fingers, of course!
This meat could also be used in other recipes. It is great in a shredded beef burrito, mexican casserole, or stroganoff.
Crockpot French Dip Sandwiches
Here is what you will need:
1 3 pound Beef Chuck Roast
2 cups Water
1/2 cup Soy Sauce
1 teaspoon dried Rosemary
1 teaspoon dried Thyme
1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1 Bay Leaf
3-4 whole Black Peppercorns
8 french Rolls, split
Place Roast in crockpot. Add water, soy sauce, and seasonings. Cover and cook on high for 5 to 6 hours or until beef is tender. Remove meat from broth, shred with forks and keep warm. Strain broth and skim off fat. Pour broth into small cups for dipping. Serve beef on rolls.
Enjoy!
