Eating for Your Health: Chicken

Chicken on the Grill

When we talk about eating for your health, we often leave meat out of the picture.  But, meat has its strong points too.  You probably already know that chicken is high in protein.  But, did you know that it usually has less fat than beef or pork, if you remove the skin?  Chicken is also a good source of vitamins B3, B6, and B12, selenium, phosphorus, choline, and pantothenic acid.

So, what does that mean for you?  Chicken may reduce the risk of cancer, improve heart health, help regulate your thyroid, and reduce the risk of dementia.

Here are some great chicken recipes on Daily Dish Magazine!
