Summer has been busy and we have been hosting party after party spending time with good friends and family. Half the fun of our evenings hanging out on the porch is trying out new cocktails. This week, we crafted a fun new mix using Pinnacle® Tropical Punch Vodka!
The best part of using a flavor like Tropical Punch is that it goes with almost any mixer you can think of. There are so many ways we could’ve mixed this up- (and we tried quite a few) but the one I like the best is an inspiration taken from a classic Moscow Mule.
A traditional Moscow Mule is a wonderful combination of original vodka, ginger beer, and lime served in a copper mug. One of my favorites on a hot summer day. So I decided to add a bit of a twist and make it a Tropical Mule!
By using the Pinnacle® Tropical Punch Vodka in place of original I instantly added a new and exciting flavor to the traditional. Next I added some pineapple soda for an extra little bit of sweetness and tart along with the ginger beer. I topped it off with a little bit of lemon lime soda and garnish with lime. Wah-la… a fantastic Tropical Mule.
We messed around a bit and had some fun deciding the ratio of ingredients we liked best, making a fun night of creative cocktailing. This recipe is our final vote on the best combo.
2 oz. Pinnacle® Tropical Punch Vodka
2 oz. Pineapple Soda
1 oz. Ginger Beer
1 oz. Lemon Lime Soda
Garnish with sugared rim and slice of lime
Serve over ice
