Tracy Travels Costa Rica Villa Buena Onda

Dining at Villa Buena Onda Costa Rica

I started my journey in Nicaragua at Jicaro Island Eco-Lodge and Morgan’s Rock, then moved on to Costa Rica to visit Rio Perdido.  Day 5 of my Nicaragua/Costa Rica adventure would have us traveling once again to the Pacific Ocean to a small beach town of Playa del Coco to the smaller intimate setting of Villa Buena Onda.

This 7 bedroom gated villa delivers beach luxury living at its finest. Spacious rooms overlooking the beautiful pool and beyond to the ocean. Friendly and knowlegable staff who feel more like friends are always right there to help you with anything you need.  Tucked upon a hillside close to town, it feels very secluded and very quiet.

Just a short drive away, you can reach one of the many beaches for relaxing, shopping or surfing. A shuttle travels daily to several locations to make exploring easy.  If you want to skip the beach, arrangements can be made to any number of activities as well, all you have to do is ask.

I chose to schedule myself for a relaxing massage on site for my “activity” on the open balcony.  It was so relaxing and a wonderful way to enjoy the luxury of the space at sunset.

When I wasn’t lounging poolside, I did a bit more lounging in my large air conditioned room and just enjoyed the views and took a nap or two in the cozy beds!

What may have been my favorite part of this villa was the food.  You all know I’m a foodie first and every dish served was so well done.  There was not one bad bite to be had. The service was truly 5 star start to finish.  I even found a new favorite drink for hot Summer days, Frozen Mango Iced Tea

When it all had to come to an end, I was so sad to have to say goodbye to my tour group and the lovely villa. There is a reason Rob, our personal NAMU tour guide chose this property to finish our adventure as it really is a special place.

I am so grateful to have been able to experience both Nicaragua and Costa Rica, if only for a short tour and I hope to get back again and explore it further.

Thank you to Costa Rican Vacations and Nicaragua Vacations for arranging our tour.  Accommodations and Dining were provided at no cost to me to form my own opinion.  All thoughts expressed are honest and  my own.
