The strawberry huller is a great little gadget to have if you love strawberries. It removes the bitter white core and green leaves from from the strawberry quickly and easily. Mine is made by OXO, and I love it. A strawberry huller is a must-have for those that make recipes with a lot of strawberries because it cuts prep time considerably and saves some of the fruit you might accidentally cut out with a knife.
So, how do you use it? Insert the the metal part of the huller into the center of the stem end of the strawberry. This will make the button on the end of the huller pop out. Scoop out the hull and then press the button to remove the hull from the huller. Repeat with all of your strawberries.
