The weather has been frighteningly cold here in the Michigan’s Upper Peninsula this year. I think it has been the coldest winter since we moved here and also we have gotten our whole year of snow in this month, or at least it seem so. We also aren’t so lucky to have a Starbucks on every corner, so we need to come up with some drinks of our own. This probably in the long run is much better as it is cheaper to make your own then buy your specialty drink.

Before I leave I want to leave you with my newest recipe for a wonderful hot chocolate and coffee drink that has a slight hint of cordial cherry. This drink would be perfect to share with your loved one on Valentine’s Day.
Your special someone will love you if you serve them this drink.
Cherry Cordial Mocha

1 cup brewed coffee
2 cups milk (I used 1%)
2 heaping tbsp condensed milk
2 tbsp cocoa
9 Cherry Cordial Kisses ( you could use more if you would like a bolder cherry taste or increased sweetness, use less if you would like to decrease the calories.
Place all ingredients in pot and heat over medium heat until mixture is steaming hot but not boiling and chocolate is melted. Pour into cups and garnish with whipped cream.
This will make 2 -3 servings depending on the size of your cup or if your cup is large like mine is then this is one serving. Don’t tell anyone that I drank all of this in one sitting. It is yours and my secret.
