Summer is here and it’s HOT outside! I don’t know what it is about that heat that always has me headed to the kitchen to find a light, sweet treat made with the flavors of the season to satisfy my Summer sweet tooth. The variety of Summer fruits make exploring new dessert flavors so much fun, or stick to a traditional, tried and true classic recipe. No matter what your tastes, you are sure to find a large variety of Summer desserts to satisfy everyone.
I picked for my board this month a variety of different fruit flavors and types of desserts ranging from a classic blueberry cobbler and simple fruit topped cheesecake, to a more complex taste of lemon and blueberry, or strawberry lemonade. One of my favorite combinations I found for this board is the blackberry and lime cupcakes. I LOVE that sweet and sour combo!
