Redneck Wine Glasses for your New Years Eve Party

Redneck Wine Glasses

I have been wanting to make these Redneck Wine Glasses for almost a year, and I am so happy I finally made them! This has got to be one of the easiest crafts I have ever made! Seriously, Ryo even made a bunch of them! We made several for Christmas gifts, and then we made about 24 for the New Year’s Eve party.

To be honest, I don’t drink wine, so even though these are called wine glasses, I will be using them for our everyday glasses!

Ryo is a driver for a local beer distributor, so we had access to these really cool Lagunitas Brewing Company jars. We paid about a dollar for each one. I love that they have a dog on them and that you don’t have to worry about the rim when you drink them. BUT if you can’t find these jars, a mason jar will work great in its place. Our total cost to make each glass was about $2 each. If you make these with a mason jar your cost will be under $2.

Here is what you will need:

Glass Candle Holders from Dollar Store

Lagunitas Brewing Company Jars or Mason Jars

Place glue on the top edge of the candlestick, and then place on top of your jar. Use your level to make sure the candlestick is level. I measured north and south, and then east and west, to make sure it the candlestick was centered on the bottom of the jar. Leave the jar upside down for at least 24 hours, and then ENJOY!

Happy New Year!

it’d be cool if there was a way to put something colorful in the cavity where the candle would normally go like a marble or colored sand or something.

  2. What a hoot! I don’t drink wine either, but think I must make these for the fun of it. Love it – thanks – enjoy a wonderful NYE.
