Independence Day Recipe Collection

Looking for a recipe for your Fourth of July celebration? Look no further, because The Daily Dish has a collection of some of the best recipes for your Independence Day cookout! 

 

We’re just a few days away from Independence Day, and if you’re like me, you’re still trying to figure out the menu for your 4th of July celebration.  So to help all of us find some ideas for our barbecues and cookouts, here are some of the best recipes for appetizers, main dishes, sides, desserts and even drinks to make your Independence Day party a success! 

 Recipe Ideas for your 4th of July Party at The Daily Dish!

 

Appetizers

1.  Jalapeno Popper Garlic Bread from Who Needs a Cape? .  Jalapeno Popper Garlic Bread could be a great appetizer or side dish, but either way, it’s yummy!

 2. Bangin’ Grilled Shrimp Skewers from Skinny Taste.  This is another recipe that could serve as an appetizer, side dish, or even main dish.  Bangin’ Grilled Shrimp Skewers are one of my all time favorite recipes and a staple at any grillin’ party! 

3.  Jalapeno Popper Dip from A Lil’ Country Sugar.  Who wouldn’t love a Jalapeno Popper turned into a tasty dip? 

4. Bacon Wrapped Lil’ Smokies from She Makes and Bakes. These lil’ guys are one of my all time favorite appetizers for a large group!  

5.  Cheesy Grilled Peppers from Busy Vegetarian Mom.  Grilled Peppers are a great option, especially if you’re looking for vegetarian recipes for your party!

 

Main Dishes

1. Applewood Smoked Chicken Kabobs from The Creole Contessa-light, smoky, with a spicy kick, these Smoked Chicken Kabobs would be great if you’re looking to skewer up some deliciousness for your 4th. 

2.  Drunken Chicken from Just Dip it in Chocolate.  Beer can chicken is always a hit, but this drunken chicken is over the legal limit!

3.  Smoked Chicken from From Calculus to Cupcakes.  This smoked chicken looks absolutely perfect and delicious! 

4. Bison Burgers from This and That.  If you’re looking for a burger that’s a little out of the ordinary and tastes fantastic, you need to try these burgers!

5.  Fall off the Bone BBQ Ribs from Walking on Sunshine Recipes.  There’s nothing I love more than ribs that fall off the bone, and this recipe is a must make!

6. Hawaiian Grilled Chicken from The Girl Who Ate Everything.   This is another one of my favorite grilling recipes.  The longer you marinate the chicken, the tastier it will be!

7. BBQ Bacon Jalapeno Cheddar Stuffed Burgers from Love Bakes Good Cakes.  This burger is stuffed with everything I love.  Can’t get better than that!

 

Side Dishes

1. Country BBQ Potatoes from Tales of a Kansas Farm Mom.  This is a simple to prepare recipe that would go perfectly with any main dish, and it’s great for preparing for groups and parties. 

2. Root Beer BBQ Baked Beans from Sugar Cookies to Peterbilts.  Root Beer BBQ Baked Beans have quickly become one of my favorite side dishes for a backyard barbecue!  They’re so flavorful and easy to make! 

 3.  Cuban/Mexican Grilled Corn from The Ravenous Couple.  I recently made this corn for a barbecue with some friends, and it was so good we could have just eaten the corn by itself! 

4. Ranch Chicken Coleslaw from Spatulas on Parade.  This is a great side dish or even main dish if you’re planning lighter fare for your 4th of July event. 

5. Cilantro-Lime Corn on the Cob from Nosh My Way.  Nothing says summer like grilled corn on the cob, and the cilantro and lime makes it taste even better!

6. Beer Mac and Cheese with Bacon from Diddles and Dumplings.  Nothing says America like Macaroni and Cheese, and this Mac and Cheese recipe is FAN-Tastic!

7. Loaded Potato Salad from Hungry Couple.  A perfect potato salad for a 4th of July BBQ! 

 8. Caprese Pasta Salad from My Mixing Spoon.  This is a great recipe for pasta salad that would make a great side dish for your Independence Day menu!

 

Drinks

1. Strawberry and Blackberry Sparkling Vodka Cocktail from Hot Eats and Cool Reads. This cocktail is light, refreshing and perfect for a summer party!  Not to mention, the strawberries and blackberries make it a festive red, white and blue beverage.

2. Summer Sangria from Eat. Drink. Love.  Sangria is always a great drink to make for a crowd, and this Sangria recipe uses fruit that’s perfect for a festive 4th of July Drink!

3. Raspberry White Wine Spritzer from Chef PickyKid and Me.  This is a great cocktail to make for parties; it’s simple to make and delicious! 

4. Spicy Berry Drink from This and That.  This is a great choice for a flavorful, non alcoholic beverage for your 4th of July party!

 

Dessert

1.  Firecracker Cake from Love Bakes Good Cakes  This is a great cake if you really want to celebrate the Red, White and Blue of Independence Day!

 2.  Red, White and Blueberry Layered Shortcakes from Yummy, Healthy, Easy  Looking to lighten up your dessert for this holiday celebration?  Then this is a great choice for you!  And, it’s served in mason jars so it’s a lot of fun for a holiday celebration.

3. Red, White and Blue Velvet Cupcakes from The Tumbleweed Contessa  Cupcakes are always a great treat for a party, and these cupcakes are definitely festive!

4. Party Jello from Lea’s Cooking .  Pretty Jello treats for your 4th of July that kids will love!
