Prosciutto Wrapped Mozzarella with Basil and Balsamic with Anolon Cookware Giveaway

Prosciutto Wrapped Mozzarella

I was one lucky gal and received a full 12 piece set of Anolon Cookware recently for our BIG 1 year Blogiversary and have been busy cooking up all sorts of recipes.  This one for Prosciutto Wrapped Mozzarella was inspired by my recent trip to Coeur d’Alene Casino’s Chinook Steakhouse.  We ordered the “Grilled Mozzarella” (Hand pulled mozzarella wrapped in prosciutto di Parma and roasted. Served with olive oil, balsamic vinegar and grilled bread)  and instantly fell in love.  I knew I had to try and recreate this at home.

My version I will admit was not quite as good as in the restaurant, but the plate I served up only lasted about 1 minute before it was all gone so I guess they were still pretty great!  I was surprised how easy it was to make them and with my new Anolon Pan it was super fast and they turned out perfect!

Yield: 2

Ingredients

  • Mozzarella Slices
  • Prosciutto Slices
  • Fresh Basil
  • Balsamic Glaze
  • Cooking Oil

Instructions

  1. Wrap each slice of Mozzarella with a slice of Prosciutto
  2. In a 1.5 quart pan, warm cooking oil (about 1/4" depth) to medium heat
  3. Place the wrapped mozzarella into oil for approximately 1 minute each side until browned
  4. Serve with Basil and Balsamic Glaze

I love how nice and evenly my Anolon Cookware heated the oil for this dish.  The more I use it, the more in love I become and know it will be with me for a lifetime.
