While visiting Las Vegas last month I searched for a hotel that was both luxurious, convenient and reasonably priced. That’s a tall order to fill but the newly remodeled Tropicana was the perfect fit!
The hotel has been remodeled top to bottom and offers a fresh, bright and clean new look. It is not at all the dark casino you experience so many places. The casino floor is vibrant in bright whites and oranges with a tropical feel.
That feeling continues up into the large rooms which are beautifully done.
We had the opportunity while we were there to take a tour of the facilities and it all was very impressive from the casino floor all the way up to the high rollers suites!
We started the tour with the theater and the “backstage area” where they have photos of some of the stars that have performed there. We then took a quick peek at the three restaurants available for dining, each a bit unique.
If your looking for casual and a fabulous breakfast brunch, the Beach Cafe is the place. This is the restaurant that provides room service and you can grab a meal here early in the a.m. hours!
The Biscayne is a one of the top-rated steakhouse and seafood restaurants on the strip. A modern yet casual decor makes it perfect for an intimate dinner or a big party.
If Italian is more your style, then you must visit Bacio. I simply love the style of this restaurant which is meant for small parties and great conversation.
Next we took a peek at all the fabulous places you can hold weddings or special occasion parties along with the pool area. This is really where it gets impressive. They have facilities for small weddings to weddings on a grand scale! With both beautiful wedding and reception areas that suite every taste, you are sure to find the perfect fit.
I really love the Havana Room with the most magnificent chandelier that changes neon colors and then steps out into a private cabana and pool area. Simply amazing!
We then headed up, up, up to the special suites reserved for special guests of the casino. These are not available yet to the public but may be in the future. They are stunning, each fitted with gold leaf details and one of kind artwork. I personally think I would never leave that shower!
IF you don’t have the luxury of landing a special guest room or can not afford one of the many suites, no worries, the rest of the rooms are super spacious with a large bathroom, full bath, and super comfy beds. What else do you really need anyway?
Overall our experience at the New Tropicana was wonderful and everyone was so polite and the location could not have served us better. I definitely would recommend a stay to anyone and will definitely return in the future!
