Italian 65% Drinking Chocolate


  • 2 Cups Whole Milk
  • 2 Cups Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 9 oz. Shaved Chocolate
  • Whipped Cream for Top Plus Extra Shaved Chocolate to Garnish


  1. Measure 2 cups whole milk and 2 cups heavy whipping cream into a large pan
  2. Heat at medium up to about 150 degrees.
  3. Place contents of entire 9 ounce can of shaved chocolate into the warmed milk-cream mixture.
  4. Stir until chocolate particles appear dissolved.
  5. If you have an immersion blender, this will minimize your time at the stove.
  6. Don’t walk away and leave the chocolate mixture until entirely done as the chocolate will accumulate on the bottom of the pan and burn.
