Last week I shared with you a recipe for homemade calzones
using pizza dough. Today I’m going to share with you another recipe using pizza dough
that my family loves…
Garlic and Parmesan Cheese Breadsticks
These breadsticks are so easy to make and again you can use homemade pizza dough,
store-bought pizza dough or go to your favorite pizzeria and buy a loaf of pizza dough.
The breadsticks are easy to form and you can add whatever toppings/seasonings your family likes.
My family loves garlic and parmesan cheese.
Forming the Breadsticks…
Roll out the pizza dough.
Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, cut the dough into strips.
Take a strip of dough and twist it into a breadstick shape…
Place the twisted breadsticks on a tray that is lined with parchment paper
and set aside for 30 to 60 minutes to rise…
Just before baking, brush the breadsticks with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder and a little chopped parsley.
Bake in a hot 425 degree oven until golden brown; about 10 – 15 minutes.
Sprinkle with parmesan cheese before serving.
You do NOT want to sprinkle the parmesan cheese on the breadsticks before baking.
The parmesan cheese will “burn” and not taste good at all.
Delicious…
