Wenatchee Washington
Wenatchee Washington is one of my favorite destinations in this beautiful state. Not only is it full of life and fun, it’s centrally located to visit so many other areas making it the perfect weekend stay.
Located right along the Columbia River on the Eastern slopes of the Cascades, Wenatchee offers a wide range of activities with warm sunny Summers and cool snowy Winters.
There are plenty of outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, whitewater rafting, and skiing to be found in this area.
If you are not an outdoor enthusiast, no worries, there is also great local shopping at the Pybus Market and in historic downtown, as well as antique hunting in nearby Cashmere, and all sorts of fun finds in Leavenworth just 30 minutes away.
For wine lovers, there are endless tasting options from Lake Chelan, up to Leavenworth all the way into Quincy just a short drive away from Wenatchee or stay local and taste at a few of the wineries located right in town.
Foodies will also be in heaven with amazing restaurants, pubs, bakeries, coffee shops, and of course, the aplets in coplets tour in Cashmere!
Any trip to Wenatchee would not be complete without a trip to the Ohme Gardens, featuring the very best views of the city and beautiful landscapes.
On our latest trip, we managed to pack in a little bit of all of the above which is why we love this area and will continue to make it our fun family weekend destination!
I had the pleasure of visiting the Ohme Gardens for it’s annual Wine & Food Gala this year during my visit. Read more about it and why you should plan to visit and attend next year!
