Tracy IsemingerWhen you walk into a room and see two 14 year olds, an 11 year old and 8 year old glued to the television with silly grins, you have to wonder what all of them are watching that all ages can be so captivated.
As it turns out, it’s Disney Juniors, Doc McStuffins. This was my first experience with the good animal doctor, but I had to sit down and see what she was all about since apparently, the whole family loves this show.
Doc McStuffins is a young girl who dreams of being a doctor. She cares for her toys and stuffed animals keeping them healthy and showing love and compassion. Through this modeling, she teaches children who watch the show how to do the same.
Disney has put together a mobile tour kicking off this weekend in Boston, featuring Doc McStuffins and a “clinic” where children can tend to their own stuffed animals and learn from the best. Real doctors from the Artemis Medical Society ( a group of female African American Physicians) will be on hand to talk with kids and their parents as well about ways to stay healthy and “take care of you”.
