Endive, also known as Belgian Endive is high in vitamin A, Vitamin K, folate, manganese and b vitamins. This low-calorie vegetable is said to be a good cure for acne and skin problems.
Eat this leafy vegetable in soups, salads and sandwiches. Smoothies are also a popular way to enjoy it.
It is sprouted and grown in the dark to retain its whitish hue.
The correct pronunciation is “on-deev” but most Americans say, “En-dive”. Either way don’t pass this veggie by next time you shop.
