Easy Fresh Brewed Iced Tea

My husband and I love fresh brewed iced tea.

I try to keep some on hand at all times in our refrigerator.

Being raised in Queens, NY we grew up on iced tea.  No, really, we did.

Only it came in a powdered form and you added water to it and it sat in a gallon jug in the refrigerator.

I didn’t know what real fresh brewed iced tea was until after my husband and I were married and we traveled south to live in Ft. Benning, GA for a few months.

I fell in love with the taste and knew what I had been drinking all of my life was NOTHING compared to the deliciousness of Fresh Brewed Iced Tea.

Now, this is how this “Girl from Queens” makes fresh brewed iced tea.

I boil about 2 cups of water.

Add the hot water to a ball jar, add about 6 to 8 tea bags and let it steep for awhile in the refrigerator.

Then I add this concentrated tea to a larger container of water and place the container in the refrigerator to enjoy all day long.

Easy, easy, easy!

Now this is NOT sweet tea.

When I’m ready for a glass of iced tea, I add my own sugar.

And yes, most of the time it is artificial sweetener.

You just can’t get the “Queens” out of me!
