Easy Flavored Vodka DIY

Flavored Vodka DIY

I love creating new cocktails using flavored alcohol but hate spending the money on a big bottle of a single flavor or paying upwards of $3 for the sample size. This year as I start preparing for our Halloween party creating new drinks, I remembered a “pin” I saw a long time ago to make your own flavored vodka at home.

The concept is simple.  Find a flavored candy you love and add it to the vodka and let it dissolve.  I chose Jolly Ranchers since the package has a great variety of simple flavors that are great for mixing and I love the colors!

I ran down and bought a big bottle of Smirnoff Vodka and some Starbucks frappuccino
in glass bottles.  Why the Starbucks?  Well, I needed some smaller bottles for mixing so it was a whole lot cheaper to purchase the Frappuccino’s vs. decorative bottles plus I got to drink the coffee… win-win!
