As a kid, the things I loved about Easter were decorating eggs in all sorts of pretty pastel colors, Easter egg hunts, chocolate Easter Bunnies and Cadbury Eggs.  As I look around at the retail marketing this Easter, I have to wonder-when did Easter become the new Christmas?  Big box retailers are advertising bikes, expensive toys and even electronics for Easter gifts.  Is it just me or does this seem like a bit much for Easter?   Aren’t Easter gifts supposed to consist of baskets with small gifts?  I don’t think an X-Box or a bicycle will fit in my daughter’s Easter Basket, that’s for sure.

If you aren’t planning on giving your kids an IPad for Easter this year, here are some great  inexpensive gift ideas I found on Pinterest.  I also like the idea of minimizing the amount of candy my daughter receives for Easter, so many of these ideas are for gifts that don’t include candy.
