School is back in session and it’s time to start thinking about stocking up on before and after school snacks, fuel for lunch and grab and go eats for sports. To stock my pantry I head to Walmart for great selection and savings. Since I have 3 stores within 20 miles, whether I’m at home or work, Walmart is always convenient and my go to stock up store.

In addition to having everything I need at Walmart, I can find all sorts of General Mills® products with Box Tops for Education™ including many that have bonus Box Tops! If you aren’t familiar already with Box Tops for Education™, collecting these “Box Tops” found on participating products earns $0.10 for your child’s school and over 80,000 schools are already benefiting from awesome program. In fact, it is one of America’s largest loyalty programs giving back earnings to schools.
What really makes this program cool is that schools can use the cash to buy whatever they need and to this point they have already contributed over 525 million to participating schools since the start of the program in 1996! If you are doing your math, that’s over 27 million a year!

What does this mean to me? “Box Top” collection has really become a fun community project and our school continually has collection competitions and fun ways to collect them at home. My kids get excited to go shopping and look for the bonus box tops at Walmart and we all spend time together cutting them off the boxes and attaching them to the collection sheets sent home by the school. It’s fun quality time together while doing something important for our schools.

We unfortunately live in a time where not all schools have all the funding they need and count on donations and loyalty programs like this to provide books, supplies, learning materials and even fun rewards for the students. Programs such as Box Tops for Education™ make it easy and fun to earn cash for the school. It’s a win-win!
Come back tomorrow when I share one of the fun ways we search for Box Tops for Education™ while shopping at Walmart.
