Salted Caramel Sauce

this recipe is adapted from The Slow Roasted Italian – No Fail Caramel Sauce.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups light brown sugar
  • 6 tbsp butter
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 tsp kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Combine brown sugar, butter and cream in medium saucepan over medium heat. Whisk occasionally
  2. Cook for about 5 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and add salt
  4. Return to heat and cook for about another minute until thickened.
