Coast Gateway Hotel and Dining

Food and travel.  The two go hand in hand.  We had the opportunity to stay at the Coast Gateway Hotel at Sea Tac Airport recently.  Right next to the Hotel and providing the room service is Sharps Roast House.

We had an early flight so we had decided to stay at an airport nearby.  The Coast Gateway is literally right there.  The view out our window was the airline terminals.  Surpisingly, it was very quiet overnight.  We were not on the street side and the planes that were coming in and out to load/unload didn’t make any noise.

The lobby was very well decorated for the Holidays and we were greeted warmly upon coming in.  We found our room easily and settled in.

The room was also very nice and “cozy”, and by cozy, I mean a bit small.  If you are just visiting overnight or doing business in the area, this hotel room is perfect.  I wouldn’t choose it for a family vacation stay – but that is not likely since it is right at the airport.  It had all the amenities we needed and we were able to get extra blankets and pillows quickly.

We then took a few minutes to wander around and “tour” the hotel.  The fitness room is small but has the basics most would be looking for.  My favorite part was the computer located on the front counter to easily check in for your flights, print boarding passes and check flight statues.

In the morning they have a complimentary breakfast with plenty of Vegetarian options.  Grab a cup of coffee and watch the news as you wait for the airport shuttle that runs about every 15 minutes.  The shuttle is first come, first serve so do be sure to get down with a little extra time.

Like I said before, if you are looking for food- lunch or dinner… then you can head next door to Sharps Roast House or call them for room service.  Unfortunately, we arrived to late and left too early to test it out but the menu looks great and it smelled fantastic!  If you are just looking for a quick drink, they have 26 Drafts, 500 spirits and more!

If I was traveling out of Seattle again, I would definitely consider staying here again!  Visit the official website for more information and to make reservations.  Click HERE.
