Homemade salad dressing is just so much better than store bought. And, it is really very little trouble to make. Once you start making your own, you will never go back to store bought. This blue cheese salad dressing is great on salads (of course), but also as a dip and is super delicious with Buffalo wings!
I first came up with this recipe as a dressing for a blue cheese coleslaw recipe, but later modified it for salad dressing. I like my salad dressing a bit thicker than what I had made for the coleslaw, and this is what I came up with. It is the best blue cheese dressing I have ever eaten.
Blue Cheese Salad Dressing
Ingredients
- 4 oz. blue cheese, crumbled
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 Tbsp. white wine vinegar
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Instructions
- Stir together all ingredients until well combined.
- Refrigerate until serving. It is better to wait and hour or so to serve because the flavors are better combined, but it is still good right away.
