Ahhh Aruba – A Foodies Dream

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Aruba Tourism Authority for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

What do you think of when someone says, “Aruba“?  Sun, white beaches, Caribean music, the Beach Boys (oh come on, you know you are singing the song, lol!).

Well, it IS all those things, but how about food?  Aruba is a foodies paradise offering up unique delicacies such as frog legs, duck, venison and foie gras in over 100 independent restaurants on the high rise strip.  Venture a little further off the strip into the locals territory and you will find even more authentic Caribbean cuisine.

Can’t you just imagine the fresh seafood pulled straight from the Ocean!

I missed it this year, but next year the Aruba Food & Wine Festival is on my calendar. This year they were promising a “pastry extravaganza”.  Who wouldn’t want to take part in that!

That’s just one of the fun events you can count on. There are also fun events like Carnival and the Aruba Heineken Catamaran Regatta!

So when your belly is full, you can work it all off by taking advantage of everything else Aruba has to offer.

  • Take a walk in Arikok National Park, Bubali Bird Sanctuary, Butterfly Farm or the Caves.
  • Go horseback riding or tour the gold mines.
  • Play a round of golf in world class clubs.
  • Sky Dive
  • and so much more!

Then when you are thoroughly tired, you can take advantage of one of the many spas or just relax on the clean white beaches, by crystal blue waters, under wide open sky’s and warm sunshine.
