It’s almost time for the BIG game and I have to say I’m so excited as a Seattle gal! Needless to say, game day parties are happening all over the place in the Pacific North West and I will definitely be heading out to one of many fun parties.  On the road to game day, we’ve had several gathering along the way and I have one staple that is a must.  When heading out, I stop at Walmart for some ready to go chicken wings to go with my quick and easy mac and cheesy pasta!

Game Day Hero ~ Ready to Go Hot Wings

Typically I will make my pasta right before leaving and place it in a crock pot to keep it warm and then swing by Walmart to pick up an assortment of wings from the deli.  With the pick 3 bucket, I can select any three items in the hot and ready to eat section and for game day I pick the Boneless General Tso’s, Boneless BBQ and some Traditional Bone-in Hot Wings to make sure I’ve got everyone’s tastes covered.  Add a dip and place on a platter and nobody is the wiser you didn’t spend hours in the kitchen!

To make the dip is super simple. It can even be made on the go if need be.  Typically I use a Crumbled Blue Cheese but I happen to be out so I grabbed my Feta Crumbles instead this time.  Add in some sour cream and mix together smashing the crumbles until smooth.  I use about equal parts of cheese to sour cream.  Since I made my dip before I left this time, I also added a dash of onion powder and garlic powder for extra taste.  Place on the platter with the hot wings and you’re good to go.

Game Day Quick Dip

The quick and easy mac and cheesy pasta is fast to prepare as well and goes perfectly with the wings. By using shortcuts like cream of chicken soup and canned cheese, it easily turns ordinary pasta into a rich and creamy delight.

Game Day Hero ~ Wings with Mac and Cheese

I guess my recipe was pretty popular along with the wings because there weren’t any leftovers by the end of the game which is too bad because it’s awesome for leftovers too!

Visit a local Walmart this week to attend in store demos and sample hot and ready wings for yourself before the big game.  I will be heading out to our Richland, WA store this coming Friday between 12-3pm if you care to join me or check this list for stores near you.

How are YOU getting ready for game day?

  1. Whoa! that mac and cheese looks incredible! I love that it’s so easy! And the Pick 3 Bucket is perfect for our family since my husband and I have VERY different tastes when it comes to wings! #client
