There is so much more to see and do in Las Vegas than just gambling. My tour of Las Vegas continues as we visit some must see exhibits that are perfect for families.
We managed to pack a lot into our days and would suggest allowing at very least a full hour for each of the exhibits.
Titanic Exhibit
Situated at the Luxor, the Titanic exhibit is a stunning display of artifacts salvaged from the historic ship with a story of each along side. Upon entering, you will receive a card with the name and history of an actual passenger aboard the Titanic. Look for artifacts that match their name and find out if they survived at the end.
I felt like I was transported back in time with the nicely decorated replicas of the first class cabin, balcony and grand staircase. There is even a freezing cold iceburg before you get to the best display of all, a REAL piece of the ship itself. It is truly such an amazing story and ship never to be forgotten.
Bodies
Right next to the Titanic exhibit at the Luxor is the Bodies exhibit. Here you will find an almost sci-fi trip through the human body. Real displays take you through the entire body systems revealing muscles, arteries, veins, bones, and organs.
Probably the most fascinating is the display of the smoker’s lung vs. the non-smokers lung. It will make you think twice about lighting up!
This is a real educational experience for the entire family
Madame Tussauds
Madame Tussauds is an all together different kind of education. Located outside the Venetian Hotel, it is a hands on adventure through pop culture where wax replicas of celebrities of past and present are on display.
We loved picking out all the celebrities we know and taking goofy photos with them. You can touch them and get right into the scene!
At the end of the tour, they have recently added a new Marvel Superhero display and 3D movie experience. I don’t want to spoil it but you do NOT want to miss the movie! The special effects are so much fun!
National Geographic 50 Greatest Photos Exhibit
If you love the magazines, you will love this exhibit. 50 of the most well known and amazing photographs from National Geographic are on display at the Venetian Hotel.
Each enlarged photo is accompanied by a bit of the history of the photographer and just HOW they captured the moment.
I WISH we would have had more time to explore even more of Las Vegas as these are just the start of so many things to do for family fun. Be sure to check out all our adventures using the hashtag #ENMNLV on twitter, instagram and Facebook!
