3 Fun Kentucky Derby Cocktail Creations!

The Kentucky Derby is just a few short weeks away on May 5th this year and we’ve got a few fun Kentucky Derby cocktail creations for party day!

With fun names like “Smoke Show” and “High Noon” that remind you of champion horses to a classic Basil Gimlet, your Kentucky Derby party will be a big hit!

High Noon Gin Cocktail Recipe | Kentucky Derby Cocktail

The Botanist Gin – 1.5 oz.

Fresh Grapefruit Juice – .25 oz.

Elderflower liquor – .75 oz.

Tonic Water – 6 oz.

Grapefruit for garnish

 

Pour The Botanist Gin, Fresh Grapefruit Juice,

Elderflower Liquor into Highball Glass

Add ice

Top with tonic water

Garnish with grapefruit peel

 


 

Smoke Show Gin Cocktail | Kentucky Derby Cocktails

 

 The Botanist Gin -2 oz.

Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice – 1 oz.

Ginger Syrup – 1 oz.

Mezcal – .25 oz.

Orange Bitters  – 4 Drops

 

Directions:

Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker

Fill with ice and shake

Strain into a Coupe Glass

Garnish with pickled ginger

 


 

Basil Gimlet | Kentucky Derby Cocktails

 

The Botanist Gin – 2oz.

Fresh Lime Juice – .75 oz.

Simple Syrup – .50 oz.

Fresh Basil Leaves

 

Directions:

In a shaker, add The Botanist Gin,

fresh lime juice, simple syrup, and 5 fresh basil leaves

Fill with ice and shake

Strain into a Cocktail Glass

Garnish with a basil leaf
